GentleYAG Laser GentleYAG Laser Laser Rejuvenation/Resurfacing is an effective facial rejuvenation technique that can produce long-lasting results. Over time, factors such as sun damage, heredity, diet, and repetitive muscle movement contribute to the formation of lines and wrinkles in the face. Additionally, the development of pigmentation anomalies, such as "age spots", or acne scars can cause skin to lose its smooth, youthful appearance.
Laser rejuvenation can be used successfully to reduce the appearance of facial lines such as forehead lines, crow’s feet, smile lines, and vertical lines around the mouth, as well as other inconsistencies on the face.

GentleYAG Laser The GentleYAG skin tightening procedure may be a viable option for you. The GentleYag laser treatment tightens the skin by transferring heat to the deepest layers of the skin. The non-ablative laser creates thermal injury below the epidermis resulting in a healing response to the upper dermis. This process then causes the dwelling fibroblasts to stimulate the precursors of collagen, elastin, and other proteins. By activating enough of your own collagen source, wrinkles and sagging skin can diminish within weeks after the treatment.

Some patients have reported that they can see results in just a few days after treatment; however, the optimum results occur anywhere from 4-6 weeks after the treatment. If recommended, a second or third treatment may be done approximately 6 weeks apart.
As gravity and the aging process naturally take place, the skin looses its youthful appearance, but this treatment is a great alternative to a surgical facelift.

GentleYAG. The Candela GentleYAG system safely and effectively treats a wide variety of cosmetic skin problems that before now were difficult or impossible to treat. The GentleYAG laser technology is known for its ability to provide permanent hair reduction on tanned and very dark skin. It is also very commonly used to treat leg and facial spider veins as well as wrinkles and loose skin on the face and other parts of the body.

Laser Resurfacing How Does Laser Rejuvenation/Resurfacing Work? During laser resurfacing, a high-energy beam of light is used to heat the dermis, which primarily stimulates the formation of new collagen, a protein responsible for providing structure and support in the dermis. The intense heat from the laser also causes the outer layers of the epidermis to peel away. As your skin heals following treatment, new skin cells develop, giving the face a smoother, firmer, more youthful appearance.

Deeper wrinkles or scars may require multiple passes over the treatment area, whereas fine lines and other minimal skin irregularities may be treated with as few as a single pass.

Laser resurfacing can be performed on individuals of any age; however it is most successful on individuals with healthy skin and fair complexions.
